Marking its 8th anniversary, the company plans to launch Mi 8 on 31st May . Although, we have already made you aware about the launch in our previous posts, here comes some detailed features about the notch phone!
Recently, the company confirmed that Mi 8 will be sporting Snapdragon 845 SoC (which was expected). The Qualcomm states that the gadget will be equipped with Quick Charging 4.0+, the latest technology that can charge upto 50% in 15 mins.
Donovan Sung, spokesperson Xiaomi Global, tweeted on Monday “We’re excited to announce that #Mi8 will use the Snapdragon 845 processor! This is a truly flagship processor, suitable for a truly flagship phone. More details on May 31!” thus revealing the use of Qualcomm’s top end mobile SoC.
The image of the Xiaomi Mi 8 packaged box reveals that the box has a big 8 written over it and sports the colour black with some specifications of Mi 8 listed at the back. Mi 8 is listed to be powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor and equipped with 6GB of RAM storage along with Internal Storage of 64 GB.
The back sensor of Xiaomi Mi 8 lens will be 20 megapixel and the in-box accessories include a USB type –C cable and a USB Type- C 3.5mm audio adapter. The phone will support a notch display, vertical dual camera setup and chamfered edges. The vertical dual camera will come with AI capabilities. The leaks also confirm the use of 3D Face ID technology!
The phone is expected to come with an under display finger print scanner, and different storage variants. It is expected to feature a 6.2-inch full HD display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. They device will also sport a 20 megapixel primary camera and 16 megapixel secondary camera. In addition to all these, the smartphone will be packed with a 3300 mAh Battery, and will weigh approx 172 Gms. It may support wireless charging and a full glass back panel.
Mi fitness band 3 and MIUI 10 are also being launched on May 31st event to be held in Shenzhen, China.
