This Gadget Review focuses on the newly launched LENOVO YOGA 920 2 in 1 laptop which has hit the market with some great expectations. While Lenovo occupies an important place in top names of manufacturers, let us see if it is worth looking for!
Lenovo Yoga has always been about gaming as well as a normal usage laptop for the people who are searching for perfection. Lenovo introduced its hinge concept and it has been only Lenovo’s for a long time and a part of yoga series too. Lenovo Yoga is considered to be one of the best 2-in-1 laptops which have become better with the introduction of Intel Core i7 processor taking the performance to next level. The Sleek design makes it look like a highly expensive device and feels very nice to touch. What more is waiting for you, let’s move ahead to the review.
Lenovo Yoga 920 comes with 8th Gen Intel Core i5 in the base version and 8th Gen Intel Core i7 clocked at 1.8GHz in the latter model with 8GB DDR4 RAM and 8GB/16GB DDR4 RAM, respectively. The former includes 256GB SDD storage while the topmost model experiences 1TB SDD taking the price too much further. It does have Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 that support gaming a little higher. The display is a touch-panel and with the help of the hinges, you can bend it 360 degrees to play like a tablet.

FEELS LIKE A CHARM!
Design Much Like Yoga 910 But Better
Lenovo has managed to put severe components for 2-in-1 Yoga laptop in a really slim body. With Yoga exclusive watchband-style hinges and the slim bezel around, the laptop looks premium and attractive. The chassis is wholly aluminium built and the webcam is located above the screen which is a kind of relief for the users. The real look Yoga 920 has is because of its bronze colour while it is also available in platinum look, the silvery finish feels kind of boring. With dimensions 12.7 x 8.8 x 0.55 inches and weighs 3.05 pounds, Yoga 920 is feather light, however, the other competitors are a bit lighter.

Superb Display And Dolby Atmos Sound
Lenovo Yoga 920 sports a stunning 13.9-inch display comes in both 1920 x 1080 and 3840 x 2160 resolutions. The panel is really sharp and bright with wide viewing angles. Even with this much brightness, the other competitors were brighter. The laptop delivers impressive distortion free and loud audio that can fill a small room easily. With Dolby Atmos sound enhancement, the audio is overall pretty nice.
THE KEYBOARD’S SHALLOW BUT WORKS WELL
Soft Keyboard And Precise Touchpad
The keyboard on Yoga 920 may be considered as a mixed experience, while it offers only 1.3mm of vertical travel. The keys are so much soft and do not have such resistance to block bottoming out. It has 4.1 x 2.1-inch touchpad which is smooth and accurate, as it responds to the gestures quickly and effectively.
ALL YOU NEED IS TO LOOK HERE
With the new 8th Gen Intel Core i7, the laptop delivers much more than the needed performance supported by the speedy 256GB SSD. Integrated Intel Graphics perform nicely, however, a comparison between Yoga 920 and other competitors is unfair because of the difference in 7th and 8th Generation chipset.
NOW YOU WON’T RUN OUT OF JUICE
Superb Battery and Active Pen Stylus
Lenovo claims the laptop to perform 10.8 hours under moderate usage but the actual battery looks to be better than this. While the laptop ran almost 22 hours under continuous web surfing, it makes it better than its competitors. Lenovo’s Active Pen 2 is included in the set up which makes it easy to makes handwritten notes on the device. While most of the 2-in-1s don’t provide an easy way to store your pen, the Yoga 920 has a separate attachment that provides a way to store your Active Pen in the set up itself.
Software And Basics
The laptops come with pre-installed Windows 10 Home Basic OS and a pair of useful utility software and standard Lenovo’s bloatware on the device originally. The setting gives you control over a number of features and Lenovo Companion monitors the health of the system.
