How to Remove Pre-Installed Applications (Bloatware) from your Android Device

Android devices these days come with many pre-installed applications provided by the manufacturer. Some of these are actually useful, however quite a few are of no use. These apps just take up space on your device and slow down performance of other apps. One way is to disable the app, but it does not remove it from your system. It just hides the app and stops its functioning. Deleting these apps is what most user want. However, this is not an easy process and the only way to do so is by rooting your device. The manufacturers of your device do not want you to root your device and doing so voids all warranty and license.

 

Disclaimer: Please read about rooting android devices and its effect on your device before proceeding. Rooting is not a safe process and may break your phone. Also, do it at your own risk. Backup all your data before moving ahead.
For rooting your device, you can use various applications available online like KingoRoot (used for demo), KingRoot, iRoot etc.

Note: Check for the devices compatible with the rooting app you are using as they are device specific. You will also need a running Internet connection for the process. Rooting your device

1. Download the apk file of KingoRoot app and Install it on your device. If you are unable to install then go to Settings -> Security and allow Installing of third party applications option in the panel.

2. Open the app. The first screen looks like the image shown below. Click on the One Click Root button.

3. This will start the rooting process as shown. This may take some time.

The app may not be able to root your device in the first attempt itself. You will have to try multiple times if necessary. You can also try the KingoRoot software for Windows that has a higher success rate.

Deleting the unnecessary apps

To move forward you will have to install a third party application that provides you Super user access. You can download apps like System app remover (used for demo purpose), Super SU etc.

1. Download and install the System app remover application from the provided link.

2. Open the app. Here you will find a list of all the system apps. Select the apps that you want to delete by clicking on the checkbox to the right of the app.

3. Click on the uninstall button to uninstall the selected apps. This will remove the apps from the system permanently and free up your device space.

This will remove the unnecessary applications from your device. You can also try other rooting apps and methods. All these procedures are just test based. They may work for some devices and may not for some. If you are trying, different applications then do a prior check if the app is compatible with your device. This will save you a lot of time.
