Xiaomi Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite Review:Tech Marvels, Bound To Surprise You!

  • MiA2 MiA2lite

For so long, we had been excited for the next big launch (after OnePlus 6 released in May) of the much celebrated Xiaomi Mi A2 smartphone. Recently released as the Mi 6X, this device is predicted to be Xiaomi’s Android One-powered offering and the transcendent descendant to the successful Mi A1, Xiaomi’s first stock Android smartphone for India.

INTRODUCTION

The Xiaomi Mi A1 enjoyed enormous success due to its reasonably priced superior quality hardware and the addition of stock Android (minus MIUI) which enabled faster and well-timed software updates in comparison with other smartphones running MIUI.

The Chinese company has released two smartphones: the standard Mi A2 and the Mi A2 Lite, a slight change observed after the release of the single Mi A1. The Lite model is a more reasonably priced variant of the Mi A2 with somewhat diluted specifications.

Let’s start off with all that Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite have in store for us!

Sneak Peek

Both Mi A2 and the Lite model look identical to Mi 6X that was launched about a month back in China. The Mi 6X has a complete metal body and boasts a 5.99-inch full-screen, full-HD+ display along with a 2160x1080p resolution and 403ppi pixel density. It also supports an unusually singular aspect ratio of 19:9, straying from the more conventional 16:9. The smartphones are structured on a design very similar to the popular Redmi Note 5 Pro from the front and the back (along with the protruding rear dual camera setup), the only difference being the thickness (The Mi phones being sleeker).

Conclusion

While the prices may appear higher than expected, Xiaomi did unveil the Redmi Note 5 Pro with a greater price tag compelling most purchasers to avoid the standard Note 5 with lesser specifications. Now that Mi A2 Lite shall not be launching in India as per latest updates, Xiaomi’s Mi A2 priced nearly Rs 20,000 segment could eat away sales of its own Redmi Note 5 Pro along with top variant (6 GB RAM) of the ZenFone Max Pro M1. One can see competition abounding the market too: there’s Samsung’s Galaxy J8, the Oppo F7, and the Vivo V9. With  Xiaomi being a respected and trusted brand, this phone undoubtedly offers some never-seen-before features making it a great option for buyers looking for quality within a budget.
