Mi 7 leaked hardware component image.
A new image leak shows that the Chinese company is all set to surprise all of us. It shows that in addition to the notch design and wireless charging, it is also implementing a dedicated technology for facial recognition just like the Apple’s iPhone X. This can be the very reason for the delay in the launch of Xiaomi’s Flagship phone which was earlier stated to be released at MWC 2018 in Barcelona in February. The Face ID feature module is similar to that of TrueDepth Camera setup of iPhone X.
iPhone X hardware component reference:
iPhone X uses a dot projector and an infrared camera for its Face ID technology that unlocks the phone using your face, and the image that has surfaced online shows that the hardware components of the Xiaomi’s Mi 7 have the same level of matter thereby offering the same level of security.
The hardware elements of the leaked image show that on the left hand side of the phone there could be an infrared camera that would clear the way for facial recognition in low light environment. It will be followed by a front camera (not a part of Apple’s Facial ID process). Next to it is an ear speaker grill followed by a rectangular piece of hardware that could be the microphone.
Then, there is the dot projector similar to that of Apple. We are unsure of the last component, because of its unusual size it can’t be the proximity sensor or the secondary front camera. We will know it for sure as the launch date is just a few weeks away.
The Xiaomi Mi 7 will also feature the in display finger print sensor for people who are not comfortable with the Face ID technology. The phone will possibly be the first android phone to use the Face ID technology.
According to the reports, the phone can be called Mi 8 or can be launched alongside Mi8 (mark of celebration to honour the 8th anniversary of Xiaomi).
Xiaomi Mi7 is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and 6GB RAM.
Nevertheless, we can only be sure of the reports as an when the phone is launched. But if the reports are true, then the mobile shopping time has definitely arrived for us!!
