VIVO V11 PRO: Impressive Features And Performance At A Smart Price

  • VIVO V11 PRO REVIEW

INTRODUCTION

When the smartphone industry was hit by the selfie fever, almost every company started improvising selfie-focused models. Among the endless line-up of similar products,  Vivo’s V series has proved its mettle throughout. The company’s latest product is the Vivo V11 Pro, a descendant to the Vivo V9. The first V series phone to flaunt an in-display fingerprint sensor, which was introduced on the Vivo X21. The Vivo V11 Pro is like a selfie-centric version of the X21, and apart from the fingerprint sensor, it sports parallel specifications as its higher-end sibling. Let’s talk more about the phone in the further sections.

SNEAK PEEK

Launched in September 2018, Vivo V11 pro runs on Android 8.1 OS and is available in two color options namely Stream Blue, Neon Purple and has an inbuilt fingerprint sensor as the primary security feature and comes packed with 128 GB of internal storage. The smartphone is powered by 2.2 GHz Octa core Qualcomm SDM660 Snapdragon 660 Processor. A 6 GB of RAM and the Adreno 512 graphics processor guarantees that the phone runs effortlessly without any evident lag. The internal storage of 128 GB can be expanded to 256 GB via a microSD card. Vivo V11 Pro flaunts the best cameras out there: dual primary camera of (12 + 5) megapixel and 25 megapixel front Camera. The phone  also supports Face Detection and high dynamic range(HDR) imaging.Powered by a fat 3400 mAh battery to support it, its 6.41 inch screen with Super AMOLED display has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 at 402 ppi.

VIVO PLAYS THE CARD PERFECTLY

Infallible Design

The Vivo V11 Pro has quite a compact feel for a 6.4-inch screen phone. The body looks elegant, feels slim and is comfortable to hold and operate. The (almost) full-view facade with fine bezels adds an bewitching vibe. The ordinary USB port at the bottom feels peculiar; Type-C port should have been placed instead. The audio jack is placed at the bottom. As every time, Vivo packs a decent quality case and contains a durable pre-fixed plastic screen protector.

IT MAKES YOU FEEL LUCKY

Delightful Display

The phone packs a good quality 6.4-inch AMOLED (19.5:9) screen with Full HD+ resolution with colors popping vividly which do not feel oddly oversaturated and, being AMOLED, the contrast is admirable. The maximum brightness isn’t as much as what you get on the best AMOLED screens, but that would mean being fussy at this price point. The phone works perfectly outdoors. The color temperature modification toggle is a convenient add on under display settings. One must keep it turned on at all times. Speaking of outdoor visibility, it is pretty good, especially with options like Always-on display making it much better.

Impressive Performance For Its Price

This octa-core Snapdragon 660 powered phone runs uninterrupted. This phone handles challenging games like a breeze. Everyday performance and multi-tasking feel flawlessly simple too. RAM organisation is not very excessive and the mobile platform also backs many 2018 essentials. Theirs the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant and over 50GB storage are available at the user’s end. The software is Android 8.1 Oreo-based Funtouch OS along with Snapdragon 660 AIE which is a potent chipset and the subsequent performance can keep you glued to the phone all day. The V11 Pro contains a dedicated microSD card slot so that you do not have to choose between second SIM and expandable storage.

There is no DRM L1 certificate on the phone and hence you can’t stream content in HD resolution on Netflix and on Amazon Prime; Most of the phones in this budget don’t have this feature either. The software had scope for improvement, but after regular updates, it’s pretty cool for its price. There are also lots of customization options to avail from.

The phone looks chic, and offers decent quality AMOLED screen, has impressive front and rear cameras, provides steady performance, and more importantly, has a long lasting battery.
