Almost entire day is spent in browsing through the web for most of us. But also there are websites which host too many ads. These ads on one hand may be sometimes useful but mostly they become annoying for the user. Most of the time is spent on removing the pop up ads rather than actually reading the content. Most android devices come with Google Chrome pre-installed. So let’s start with how to deal with pop ups and ads on Chrome.
1. Open Google Chrome. Click on the three dots to open the menu on the top right-hand corner.
2. Go to Settings.
3. In the Settings menu find the Site Settings option.

4. Inside this menu you will find a Pop-ups option. On clicking on this option you will find a slide button to enable/disable the pop ups.
If just this isn’t enough for you there is another option for you to try out. With this option you can curb the ads a bit more. The Google Chrome Data Saver option helps compress pages and remove aspects of it that aren’t required. It offers better experience with browsing when your speed is low and also saves data by compressing web pages. For doing this inside the Settings option find the Data Saver option. Inside this you will find a toggle button for enabling/disabling the data saver option.
Using Opera browser to avoid ads:
An easier way to go about this is to download the Opera (link) app which has inbuilt option to block ads. Download and install the app from the link provided and open it. In the hamburger menu on the top left corner of the app you will find an option for Block ads. Toggle the button next to it for enabling or disabling the option.
